Miss Macy is happy to be starting her 18th season of Kids and Co. Macy started dancing at the age of 3 in Pierre, SD under the direction of Sandy Spencer, Sunny Halloway, and Sarah Sonnenschein. Macy's mom says the first time she got off stage she was hooked. Macy was very dedicated to the art of dance throughout grade school and High School training at various local studios, participating in Dance Network of South Dakota conventions, other conventions and workshops across the US, and several visits to NYC taking classes at Steps on Broadway and Broadway Dance Center. Macy has been choreographing since the 7th grade. Her choreography has been recognized at several dance competitions though out her teaching career. In 2024 Kids and Company Dance was awarded ACC Studio of the year at Starpower Dance and Talent Competition in Gillette, WY. Macy loves all styles of dance, but Tap is her favorite with Musical Theatre a close second. Macy loves to share her passion of dance to the youth of Spearfish, SD where her studio Kids and Company Dance just got a new home summer 2023. Miss Macy and her talented, dedicated teaching assistants are excited for year 2 in their new space.
